Best Photo Spots in Denver
Denver has much to offer, ranging from Union Square all the way to the Big Blue Bear statue. Therefore, no matter where your interests lie, you can definitely find a spot you’ll absolutely love!
RiNo Art District
The RiNo Art District contains a vast array of different types of artwork. The impeccably designed street art is a major highlight, and it provides the ideal background for those who want to look fierce. Especially noteworthy are the pieces that call awareness to issues that are currently in the news. This is the perfect place for anyone with social consciousness, and it may even make a truly fantastic place to stop for wedding photography.
Dairy Block (The Alley)
If you don’t find what you’re looking for in the RiNo Art District, you should take a look at The Alley in Dairy Block. This neighborhood hosts hipsters and more, and The Alley provides a visual feast for people of all types.
Union Station
The architecture used in Union Square makes this spot a must-visit. Even better are the areas just around the station, including a beautiful mural of a butterfly and a fun fountain in the front. Choose Union Square if you’re looking for something classic with a bit of a modern feel.
Washington Park
This humongous park will make your family photos come to life. There are multiple spots that you should hit such as the flower gardens, along with the lake and its boathouse. This area would also be perfect for senior pictures and engagement photographs.
Denver Museum of Nature and Science
Head behind the museum if you’d like to capture the quintessential look and feel of Denver. You’ll be greeted by an amazing view of mountains and skyscrapers. No matter what type of photography you’re looking for, this spot will answer the call!
Golden History Park
This is another fantastic place for family photos. With all the cool, old cottages, you can really feel the ambiance of this place that’s out of time. There’s also a pretty little creek that you can usually walk into on top of the rocks. Depending on whether you like history or not, you could also stage your engagement photos here. You might have to carefully time your trip out, though, because Golden History Park (formerly Clear Creek History Park) is an extremely popular place.
The Big Blue Bear
If your friends would describe you as quirky, then you’ve got to hit this location! The bear is absolutely huge, and it’s peering into the Colorado Convention Center. Having this in the background will make anyone stand up and take notice. And that’s exactly why you get photos taken in the first place, right?
Denver Botanic Gardens
Due to Covid-19, this attraction isn’t currently offering photo permits. But once they start up again, there will be a rush to get permission to shoot within the gardens. That’s because it’s a truly eye-catching location that features gardens, art, a conservatory and the sunken amphitheater. You can stage images with many unique looks inside the Botanic Gardens.
Larimer Square
This historic spot set the stage for Denver’s founding back in 1858. Now, it’s full of shops, nightlife, and dining. With the whirlwind of activities in Larimer Square, you’d probably think we shouldn’t include it on this list. However, getting your picture with the lights strung in the background makes it all worthwhile.
Millennium Bridge
Would you like to be above the city for some of your images? There’s no better place to go than Millennium Bridge. This spot is a treasure for pedestrians, and it will give you gorgeous views. This is especially true at night, so be sure to head here for images that will be instantly frame-worthy.
Red Rocks Amphitheater
Located near Denver, this famous amphitheater serves as the most incredible spot to see (and capture) the sunrise. It can also make the perfect choice for music photography due to its uniqueness. You might have to work your way around the crowds, but it’ll be more than worth it.
